Joaquin Alvarez

Thank you for visiting my personal website! I am interested in reliable machine learning, particularly in distribution-free uncertainty quantification. More broadly, I am excited about the idea of building trust in predictive algorithms in a black-box manner. I did my BS in applied mathematics at ITAM in Mexico, where I was fortunate to be mentored by Miguel Angel Mota. Outside of research, I enjoy yoga and walking. Other miscellaneous interests include an ever-increasing obsession with overpriced coffee and matcha.
